  • Caught a David Sedaris reading yesterday with Mixygirl, Presser, and Michelle.  Sedaris is a pretty funny author who has written some short comedic autobiographical novels.  He also writes columns frequently for the New Yorker and is  an occasional NPR commentator.  The dude is totally hilarious, and I've been into him since Presser loaned me his book Naked, during residency.  Unforunately we had a really big Thai dinner right before the reading and everyone except Mixygirl suffered from food coma.  Still very funny nonetheless.

  • It was a lot of fun seeing him live...and to such a large audience.  3,000!

I remember it was a shock when I first heard his speaking voice many years back but after I had read a couple of his books.  Once you hear it, you will always read his work with that voice in your head.

  • I always confuse David Sedaris and Amy Sedaris. I'm not sure why, since one's male and the other's female.
